General Director of Rakhia district in Hadramout meets with Yemen Family Care Association team :

Omar bin Ajian, the General Director of Rakhia District and the Chairman of the Local Council met YFCA team in his office in Sana at Rakhia district on Tuesday morning 19/1/2021 to discuss YFCA's new health interventions in the district.

Also, He welcomed YFCA team praising the great role that YFCA plays in supporting the healthcare services at both levels, the Health Facilities level and the community level.

In the meeting, the General Director listened to a detailed explanation from the project manager, Dr. Waddah Shaiban, about the new health project targeting two districts in Hadramout (Rakiah and Al-Abr) with a package of health activities that is matching with the needs of the local authorities there via the generous fund of Muslim Aid, to whom he is extends his appreciation and gratitude. The project will builds the capacities of the health workers and ensuring the continuity of healthcare services especially during the difficult time of COVID -19 pandemic by providing free medicines and medical supplies, financial aids to the health workers, the minor maintenance and rehabilitation for the two targeted health facilities, and the awareness raising activities. "Good coordination, accountability and the quality of implementation are always characterizing the work of YFCA" He added.

On the other hand, the project coordinator Muhammad Belksar said, "The project awareness campaign will covers important health topics such as; general hygiene practices, behavioural change communication, communicable diseases and COVID-19 preventive measures for the people through the community volunteers.

The General Director affirmed the readiness of the local authority leaderships in the district to overcome any difficulties and provide all possible support to YFCA to ease and facilitate the project implementation smoothly.
